The culinary experience at Remington’s River Inn is where this gem truly shines. From the first bite, it's clear the kitchen takes pride in crafting dishes that marry fresh, quality ingredients with comforting flavors. Starters like the Mozzarella Logs, featuring fresh Wisconsin cheese hand-rolled in golden, crispy wontons and paired with zesty marinara, or the warm, luscious Spinach Artichoke Dip, set the tone for a satisfying meal.
Among the house favorites, the Tomato Bacon Jam Meatloaf stands out — a hearty, savory delight served alongside creamy garlic mashed potatoes and vegetables, perfect for those craving familiar comfort food with a gourmet flair. Seafood lovers will appreciate the Planked Salmon, with its delicately roasted cedar plank aroma and tender flakey texture, also served with garlic mashed potatoes.
Sandwich options do not disappoint, featuring the indulgent Tenderloin Steak Sandwich loaded with melted Swiss cheese, fire-roasted onions, mushrooms, and a garlic aioli that brings it all together on a French roll. The Remington Burger, praised by visitors for its juicy, cheesy goodness, is another must-try. And of course, no traditional Wisconsin American restaurant experience would be complete without the iconic Fish Fry; their version pairs crispy, flaky fish with perfectly golden French fries.
Beyond the food, the drinks menu complements the dining experience beautifully. Signature cocktails like the Bloody Mary add a playful kick, while attentive service ensures that every guest feels welcomed and well cared for. Reviewers routinely mention the friendly, attentive staff and the welcoming atmosphere as standout aspects of their visits.

I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. Although it was a little expensive, the service was good, the portions where not bad (specifically for the reuben), and the inside was very beautiful. They split the restaurant into a dining and high-top section with both rooms having a cabin aesthetic. If you're feeling American food, I would check it out.
Pub/bar seating up front. Long hall to the nice dining room, then a very nice outdoor patio down 5 stairs, overlooking the river, with a fire pit. They do have a credit card fee unfortunately. Al the servers are very nice. Soups, pizzas daily specials have all been very good. Crab cakes were average and slightly overdone. The cod fish fry was average. We come here mostly for soup, pizzas daily specials and a gluten free pizza with friends, at least once a month. Portions are generous, usually something to take home, esp. the pizzas.
I have come here 2 times in the past year and both times it was amazing. I will definitely be coming back with my family. The bathrooms were clean and spacious and the soap smelled amazing. And shout out to our waitress Pat. She was amazing one of the best waitresses i have had i a while. And the food was AMAZING and I recommend the burger it was juicy and cheesy and just pure amazing along with the French fries. 5 stars no doubt.
Driving back from Cedarburg on Sunday & decided to stop at Remington’s River Inn for lunch. So glad we did! The food was delicious. Recommend the warm pretzel with cheese or the wonton wrapped mozzarella sticks - both very good. The buffalo chicken wrap with house made ranch & fries was spot on with just the right amount of spice. The service was also excellent - friendly & very attentive. Seated at a table with a lovely view of the Milwaukee River (+ wildlife). Highly recommend stopping here for a weekend lunch. We will definitely be back.
Wonderful decor and multiple dining options make Remington's a unique destination. Great service, drinks and menu for all to enjoy. Thanks Remington's!
I had a fantastic experience here! I visited on Saturday, and even though it was after lunch, the server gave my husband and me excellent, attentive service. We kicked things off with Bloody Marys, which surpassed our expectations. For appetizers, we tried the mozzarella logs—delicious—and the onion soup, which was among the best I've ever had. For lunch, the Cobb salad was great, though the amount of dressing provided could have been more generous for the large portion. The burger, however, was spot-on. Overall, it was a great experience, and we’ll definitely be back soon!
